Plantar wart treatment in Saint-Léonard and Dollard-des-Ormeaux
The right treatment for plantar warts
In order to effectively treat a plantar wart, I prescribe medications and proper care. Among the different treatments available, applying anti-wart medicines or liquid nitrogen on the wart may help.
Intralesional drug injection, electrocautery and laser cauterization can also be used for fast and effective results. Visit me at Dollard-Des Ormeaux in Montreal for professional care and advice.
Different treatments are offered depending on the contaminated area and the extent to which the infection has spread.
Precautions to be taken
While waiting to see your podiatrist, do not use medications without a prescription. It is also better to avoid walking barefoot in public areas especially on wet floors. Always remember to put on your shoes in the gym, shower and near the pool.
It is not advisable to touch, scratch or sand the wart. Take care not to bleed it so as not to delay the healing process.
